Motshekga pledges textbooks for all in 60% of schools - MSN - News: "Motshekga said she would focus her attention on quality as the “ghost of bad education” continued to haunt SA. This would mean fostering a “culture of hard work” in schools. “There’s little doubt we need to improve the quality of education,” she said."
And I believe that there is no ghost of bad education, only the reality of students who have lost faith and some unmotivated teachers out there. With all the trapped schools that are targeted by the government of South Africa, the resources might be available but they fail to achieve the desired outcome. What about the other 40%? Its an unfair advantage on others who also want to achieve better results and a better future! We want to know what drastic measures have been taken on schools that are under-performing, where the problem lies as well as any deficiencies in resources if any!
