Dell’s mood reading application...?

First it was Google glasses... And it is somewhat acceptable after privacy considerations. However, the mood reading app from Dell could prove anti-social if the hype is more on the negative than the positive. There is always the unknown. It is clear though that private information won’t be so private anymore but rather precious for all those who are involved: the target and the marketer/ service provider.

The fact that the facial expression, the eye movement, and anything that completes the person’s emotional state are taken into consideration is like recording a person’s activities on the internet and using it against them. Many organizations include this sharing of personal information for applications to function properly. It would be almost impossible for some to function as desired if such information is not disclosed. It comes with the territory.

Marketers and other up-to-no-good characters would be behind the scenes designing a counter to all of that to their own benefit. We can’t fear the unknown forever though.

This is definitely for marketers and pleasure seekers, others are targets.

As I have noticed, there is no positive without negative in all creations...
