To Register, or Not to register... That is the question.

I have made that mistake and I have seen many make that mistake. Registering a business is not the first step, unless you relish the thought of working under pressure. But this is the kind of pressure that can be costly. You probably heard of the story "a fool and his money parting easily" before, but that's all part of learning that either one goes through.

So, is research the better option "First step"? But you will still need the skills right... Otherwise how are you going to get anywhere convincing people that you have what they need. By skills, it does not necessarily mean mastering your art and knowing everything. It also has to do with knowing how to run a business.

A lot of failure might prepare you for success, or an education can come in handy. I like NYDA's (National Youth Development) approach; first they train you before they fund you. It makes business sense. You can't plant before you plough.

Same as registering a  business, and then wonder what you will be doing after registering. That is the administrative part, take care of the making money part first before administering a non-existing business. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail remember!?

Do a feasibility study of your business venture, sometimes people want things that they can't have. A little financial analysis will clarify if they can afford what you offer whether it's a want or need. Such practices will put you and your business in a better position to become a success than a failure. And once you get all the recipes together, remember to fix your attitude...
